I hate the way...

I would just like to share an excerpt from 10 Things I Hate About You. It's a 1999 rom-com starring Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. I love how I found a movie scene from fifteen years ago so relatable, and how perfect the rhyming and words choices are. I'm a sucker for good pieces of written works, and I found this really, really good.

I hate the way you talk to me,
and the way you cut your hair.
I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.
I hate your big dumb combat boots,
and the way you read my mind.
I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right.
I hate it when you lie.
I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you're not around,
and the fact that you didn't call.
But mostly, I hate the way I don't hate you,
not even close.
Not even a little bit,
not even at all.

See, that's the thing about people. You become so dazzled and inlove with one that you see their flaws or their bad traits yet you can't hate them, or sometimes you seem to hate some of their traits because it only makes you fall even harder for them. But I don't believe in that theory. I believe that this kind of hate is just an excuse to fall even deeper, which is absolutely okay. Sometimes you just blame a person because you know that he'll never return the love you give him, but deep inside, who you actually hate is yourself. You hate the way you fall inlove with everything he does.
